What if George W. Bush had given the British prime minister a series of DVDs that aren't compatible with European DVD players or awarded the queen of England an iPod loaded with his own speeches? (Just what kind of queen did Obama think He was meeting when He added Carol Channing, Liza Minnelli, and Ethel Merman to the play list?) When Dan Quayle, Ronald Reagan, or Gerald Ford misstepped, it was held as proof of their lack of intelligence. When Barack Obama missteps, it is held as proof that meanspirited people like to call attention to His gaffes.
All I can say is: Yup, that's what I've noticed too. The crew, titillated by daily "Bushisms", now see "Obamisms" as a waste of time.
Anybody ever notice how dictatorial libs are in casual conversation as well as in political power? They have decided; they have their rules; anybody with a brain could have figured the same thing out for themselves; it shows how right-wing you are to have a different idea, desire, interpretation, ...
For example: Obama has not reached the threshold of gaffes that Bush had, thus his gaffes are out of bounds. Of course, if Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, ... has said anything like this in the last 2 days, I'm just saying it because they did.
That brings up something that I was think about recently.
Given a car accident, if all the witnesses agree on what happened, you have a well-documented account. Unless those witnesses happen to be all conservative and Rush Limbaugh is one of them. Then, they're all just parroting what he said. If Fox News covers it, then it's additionally some sort of conspiracy, probably Karl Rove's involved (somebody that I have taken to calling "The Dark Lord").
But what does it say about his staff? Bootlickers or morons...either way, it's not good.

btw - is any more proof required that the British have succumbed to an ever weaker gene pool as has been demonstrated by how Brown is pandering and drooling over The One and the Queen seems dwarfed by the corrupt used car salesman from Chicago and his America hating wife?
