People like to hear Barack Obama talk but not as much as Barack Obama likes to hear Himself talk. I guess we should be grateful that President Obama, rather than President Bush, is the Wordy One. Reminiscent of election night, I clicked off to read--this time Will Durant--rather than indulge the Narcissisist-in-Chief. I did remain long enough to catch Jeff Zeleny's strange question about humility, enchantment, surprise, and trouble, and President Obama's revealing answer, specifically in regard to what has humbled Him in office: "Humbled by the--humbled by the fact that the presidency is extraordinarily powerful, but we are just part of a much broader tapestry of American life, and there are a lot of different power centers. And so I can't just press a button and suddenly have the bankers do exactly what I want or, you know, turn on a switch and suddenly, you know, Congress falls in line." Who, but an egomaniac, would be humbled by the inability to control people like video game characters with the push of a button?
Barry Obama has been coddled and told his whole life what a wonderful gift to the world he is. This is a person with zero sense of being humble, ever, and who is a true believer in his sense of self but is still in constant need of having to be reminded of how great he is.
How could it not be that he is an ego driven narcissist who, even though he’s accomplished virtually nothing of any significance in his life, believes that he can do anything and knows what’s best for the people he has been privileged to rule….eh, govern?
Personality traits like his are not good ones in general and although might be ok for actors or rock stars they are very shaky and dangerous for those who hold political power and who operate on an international stage in the real hard world.
Well, the "One" has moved in to break up Chrysler and apportion 20% to Fiat, 55% to the UAW and the remainder to the United States of Obama.
How is this possible in my America?
Sure, he can't push that button today but he will be keeping score - & will wait for the day he can teach those who don't readily bow to his will all about "humility" (see thinly veiled threat-quote below).
We are ALL in serious danger.
