A majority of respondents to Gallup's poll on abortion consider themselves pro-life. This is the first time that a majority of Americans have self-identified as "pro-life" in the fourteen-year history of this poll. The numbers breakdown to 51 percent pro-life, 42 percent pro-choice. Had Gallup the ability to poll the 50,000,000 human beings aborted in America since 1973 do you think the pro-life numbers might have been even higher?

Just think of what could have been! If Bush hadn't invaded Iraq maybe Republicans would still control Congress. Maybe we'd have a Republican president now. Maybe he'd be able to appoint that one more judge to the SCOTUS to tip the balance in favor of life. Ah well. At least we got Saddam. It was worth it.

Since 51% of Americans call themselves pro-life, I guess the left thinks 51% of Americans are members of the Taliban.

PS Just finished reading Conservative History of the American left. Exhaustive indeed, but the last half of the book was excellent. Going to check out more of Mr. Flynn's books.

I’ve really been enjoying watching Cheney the pit bull taking people to the woodshed. He is demonstrating in spades what it means to take on the responsibility of leadership as he unapologetically defends his and GW's policies.

We may not have agreed with a some of it, but the way I see it, we had responsible adult leadership for the eight years preceding the teenagers who now occupy the White House and other branches of our government at high levels.

While we argue about the details of bending the Fourth Amendment or torture or even going to Iraq to insure we and the world were safer and somewhat more stable, adults who were privy to and who used the best information available to them at the time, made the hard decisions required to do what they believed we needed to do in an ever more dangerous world.

Meanwhile, this last election, Liberals, Democrats and whiny Americans of all stripes used childish logic to allow for the installation of a regime who are like kids who have been given a case of beer a bottle of Jack and the car keys.

Right now, I’d take “Bush lied; people died” any day.

I loved to hear that there were many no shows at the Notre Dame commencement speech given by the Abortionist in Chief and that there were thousands outside protesting his appearance.

It's like gay marriage the way the left has high jacked the abortion anytime, anywhere for any reason issue and pushed to make a minority opinion the rule when a majority of citizens don't agree.
