More than a month ago, the State Department warned Americans about travel to Mexico because of out-of-control violence. Now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns Americans about travel to Mexico because of the swine flu. For years, Americans, rather sensibly given the myriad problems south of the border, have warned their government about large numbers of Mexicans travelling to America. The lesson here? Americans heed their government's warnings more than their government heeds the warnings of Americans. That's not how a republic is supposed to work, is it?
It should be frightening that we now have in the United States a resurgence of previously eradicated diseases such as tuberculosis and leprosy and that we are taking risks daily of exposing our native population to new and even more virulent disease strains so that we can celebrate diversity and demonstrate how open and fair we are with regard to allowing our borders to remain open to a constant flow of criminal entrants.
Americans be damned as long as businesses get their low cost labor, the Democrat power structure gets their votes and the existing government south of the border are happy.
