I rightly predicted before the initial bailout that subsidies to Chrysler and GM would invite demands for further bailouts. They did, and now the "bailed-out" are going bankrupt. Why shouldn't the taxpayer feel like a sucker? Government Motors appears headed for bankruptcy. Chrysler, the other automaking beneficiary of billions of federal taxdollars, will likely be absorbed by Fiat. Put another way, in the former instance taxpayers threw good money after bad and in latter instance taxpayers not only threw good money after bad but, ultimately, threw that good money in the bank accounts of foreigners.
No, that would be wrong. It wasn't the taxpayers who threw good money after bad. It was the lying incompetent weasels who have been charged with managing OUR money who have thrown good money after bad. Funny thing how when it's not one's own money, how wasting and consistently loosing track of amounts and where it goes is no big thang'.
There is always waste. But since September 08' when the TARP boondoggle and the subsequent plethora of bailouts were floated and executed, we and our government have not questioned why but just how much of our money we spend.
This is what happens when you have lawyers who couldn’t manage a popsicle stand running the show while deferring to corrupt money men whose only qualifications to make decisions with the people's money is that they failed at it when working in the private sector.
Not to be outdone with one crisis or another, it will be magical to watch as the same morons who continue to get us deeper into these various financial messes and who demonstrate zero qualifications to manage anything, will now attempt to install a government health care system.
"Our Federal Overlords are busy lately, sticking their noses into all sorts of things that were unthinkable just a few months ago.
Their latest plan is to dictate to the financial industry how much money businesses can pay their employees. It seems that the Commissars believe some of those guys are making too much money and it's up to the federal government to slap them down."
Sounds fair and equitable to me, eh comrade??? And if there is any talent left in that industry, they will surely exit to some other place where they can be better compensated for their expertise.
I knew it was a waste of money too. Likewise, I knew that the Democrats would do everything they could to help the UAW.
