You've Got Mail

From the people who brought you the attacks on John McCain--whose war disabilities preclude him from typing on a keyboard--for failing to use email, comes the invasion of Sarah Palin's email account. Despicable human beings, so concerned with their own privacy that they have dubbed themselves "anonymous," have hacked into Sarah Palin's Yahoo account and posted its contents online. Those who confuse their own candidate for the messiah will just as soon delude themselves into believing the opposition the devil. It is frightening the depths to which people will sink when they believe themselves in service of a lofty cause.

What exactly are they hoping to achieve with antics like this ?

To show the world they are basically scum with no moral fiber at all ?

I am familiar with the group 'anonymous' and I can tell you that they certainly do not see themselves as in service of a lofty cause, and they definitely wouldn't deny being scum with no moral fiber at all.

That is their lair, and more or less the worst place on the internet. You can find out more about them there, but I recommend against paying it a visit.

Isn't it funny how none of this stuff ever happens to the left?

Well isn't this Chuck Schumeresque? Having your minions break into the opposition's private information for political purposes.

Wonder what the leftist yahoos who are convinced that Bush and Cheney are listening in on their conversations about pizza delivery think about this?

Nothing I expect. As they rarely think at all.

anonymous aren't leftists, they are internet trouble makers with no particular cause.

How do you know they’re not leftists? By definition, nobody knows who they are. But I’d venture a decent guess that their effort to break into and expose personal email information about a high profile Republican candidate might bring one to deduce that they are operatives of the left.

The level of what they did and how they disseminated the information seems to go beyond what persons who are impartial mischievous pranksters would do.

I linked their website. If you read it it will become abundantly clear that they have nothing approaching political views. These are mostly like 13 year olds or the mental equivalent.

This is ridiculous and the defense proffered is fatuous.

I am tired of a media that runs spots on CNN about the "craze" for Sarah Palin rimless glasses frames by kawasaki and then thinks it has unfettered rights to violate laws in search of that which they declare "newsworthy."

You might be right. But I'm curious as to why they haven't taken the time and made the effort to hack into the other three candidates private files and release the information to the AP.

Why just Palin?
