The Clinton Administration's Third Term

Barack Obama's "Change We Can Believe In" proves the axiom that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Hillary Clinton as secretary of state? Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff? Eric Holder as attorney general? The retread nature of Obama's early picks to staff his administration makes me wonder when Craig Livingstone will be named secretary of homeland security. Hail, hail, the gang's all here!

Well, they got to believe in change for a while, so that was "change that they could believe in." He didn't say anything about documenting it. And the true believer can still believe it's going on somewhere, if only the right wing would shut up.

Face it, Obama has delivered on his promise. You can believe in it if you want to.

Before the offer becomes official, Obama’s team wants to determine if Holder could win Senate confirmation. There are a few things that could prevent confirmation. Remember the Mark Rich pardon? He signed off on that. Remember Elian Gonzalez? Holder authorized his kidnapping.

Political persuasion aside, Hillary strikes me as a particularly bad pick for SoS. That type of position should be someone who is decidedly non-partisan (not to be confused with unprincipled) and who has a diplomatic demeanor. I just don't get that from Hillary. Honestly, I think she would be better suited for SoD than SoS, though I wouldn't want her there, either. I think she would be great as Postmaster General, though...

Good point. Conciliatory she’s not. And I don’t think she’s real big on negotiation or compromise. Her style reminds me of the used car salesman in an old Jerky Boys skit…"I had this guy last week... He wants to buy the car... He doesn't wanna buy the car... I take his head, I smash it into the ****ing hood, you wanna buy this car!".

Well, that is a tad extreme but I can see her grating on people and not being affective in that particular position because she’s spoiled and stubborn. And let's not forget: she knows more than everybody else.

I’ve talked to so many people of all political stripes since the election who are convinced that Obama will govern from the center. I’m trying to remember what he has said or what he has done that would convince them of that.

It’s particularly perplexing that people can say that when he’s begun staffing with the best of the left of the best Clinton staff retreads and other left of center cronies and reprobates.

Well, I for one love the "diverse" cabinets. They end up looking like a carnival sideshow, which is, of course, totally awesome.

Wait until Obama's policies as executed by his merry band of Dem pirates start to directly impact all of those mind numbed knuckle draggers who voted for him. They'll be shocked, SHOCKED that hope and change have not made things better.

But, won't matter. As with everything for the last eight years it will all be George Bush's fault.

Isn't Livingstone the guy that nobody hired?

I used to imagine that he was a guy who wandered off the white house tour, set himself up an office to read FBI files on the political enemies of the Clintons.

That was some administration! Their best defense was lying to a diary and that a guy off the street could set himself up in an office reading FBI files. 9 minutes of erased tape would have been NOTHING on the Clintons. Trust me.

Conservatives really need to come to grips with the fact that so much of what has happened over these past eight years really is Bush's fault (at least in large measure).

I'm not going to start again, but I don't think that we can scapegoat Bush as THE main reason why McAmnesty lost.

There's a pretty big list of items there and I would certainly agree that there is a line on there for Bush. But if you were to assign percentages to each line that would weight the reasons why the Maverick lost I'm not convinced that the Bush would rate a disproportionately large number. All subjective to say the least.

From what I've been hearing lately, the Palin line would rate probably 50%. I would disagree with that as well.

Let's put it this way: McNasty himself would get a pretty high rating from me.

As Gump would say: that's all I have to say about that.

You've got to love it.

"Rahm Emmanuel stated at a Washington party held by the Wall Street Journal this week that the current financial crisis and credit market crisis, gives his administration an opportunity that they have not previously had.

That the current fear index opens the door for liberal progressive legislators and leaders to pass legislation that they have never been able to pass because normally American people are unwilling to allow goverment to interfere in free markets".

We are in deep do-do. We are witness to the most radically dangerous group of people who've ever held power in this country.

I will say this, Holder has been great for the firearms as well as ammo industry.
I live in the deep south and it has become very difficult to purchase guns, ammo, etc. The sporting goods stores sell out shortly after receiving replacement shipments.
Holder, who like big foot Reno, doesn't believe the second ammendment gives individuals the right to own firearms. No, they didn't have the capacity to formulate that thought on their own,it was spoon feed to them by their western European hero's. the UN, and the gestapo/Nazi collaborater, spoon fed it to them.
Since Mr.Kiss (aka. George Soros) and that fat, sloppy, dimwit,Michael Moore despise guns as badly as they claim, one wonders why they don't force their own body guards to never carry a firearm while they are providing security for their own sorry behinds. Perhaps, fat boy Moore needs to be asked that question, along with why he lives in an all white neighborhood, sends his daughter to a very expensive private school, refuses to hire union employees, etc.

Then of course, college dropout Moore has an excuse, since he has an IQ equivelant to that of baby Pinch Sulzeberger (who is about to be whacked and removed from his position as publisher of that third rate fishwrap, with the credibility of your average tabloid).

Livingstone is a third rate thug, who would be unable to last two seconds in a place like the Desire Street Housing projects in New Orleans.
He only seemed tough, when you compared him to Bill, Podesta,Ickes,Lake,Berger, etc.
It's all relevant and that thug would be just as intimidated by Islamic terrorists as was Reno,Holder,Clinton,Lake,Podesta, and the rest of the sissy boys who will be back in Clinton's house.

Holder should be given a medal, he has done more to help the economy, than all of Obama's other dull tools combined.

P.S. What a freakin disaster, the former ballerina turned politician, current chief of staff Emmanuel is,especially after the speech he gave at the Wall Street journal conference this past week. He made a weak attempt to disguise the socialist fantasies of the new president and congress.

It's just a further attempt to de-ball the populace by making sure they're impotent from the standpoint of any kind of resistance. And guys and chicks with guns represent a threat when you're trying to create a malleable society.

So the plan is to bend kids’ minds in the government schools by indoctrinating them with liberal and socialist tripe, eradicating any opposition party that stands in the way of the leftist agenda and subsequent progress and making sure that those who ultimately do not come around cannot resist.
