I Voted in a Unitarian Church in Massachusetts. Then I Showered.

I waited in line for a half hour to vote. The warnings about increased turnout seem, anecdotally at least, to be accurate. Perhaps the weather--good for voting, better for cigar smoking while porch blogging--has something to do with it. The young and African Americans who, supposedly, would turn out in droves stayed away from my polling place. Graybeards supported by canes and walkers, voters who had cast their first ballots for Charles Evans Hughes, peopled the line in which I stood. As the line neared the voting booths, I noticed an unwelcome site: flyers urging citizens to vote "No" on Question 1 seeking to eliminate the state income tax. "Wasn't this illegal?," I asked the poll worker. She seemed disinterested. I was tempted to ask if I could put my "Yes" on Question 1 sign next to the "No" literature, but instead voted and hoped she would take care of the matter. I perused my paper ballot and was disturbed to find only Democrats running for U.S. representative, state senate, state representative, and a host of lesser offices. That's Massachusetts, and so is liberal campaign signs in a polling place. The poll worker ignored my appeal, so I did my civic duty by informing the "warden"--interesting title for an election supervisor--about the illegality of the political signs. Sure enough, she conceded the signs were illegal and removed them. That's what you get, I guess, for holding an election in a Unitarian church.

Yes the lines are REALLY REALLY long. But Obama's going to win anyway, so why waste your Tuesday night standing in line for 2 hours? Your vote won't really matter.

My voting place was efficient and orderly. Minimal moonbats. Just a few balding gray pony tailed 50 year old guys with pot bellies holding Obama signs and others with save the dogs, wind power/no drilling and vote no on #1. All outside.

Didn't you hear?!?! Democrats are getting and extra day to vote. They can go on Wednesday so they don't need to go today.

I snuck a six-pack of Sam Adams with a friend into a Unitarian Church to watch a rock concert once.

I was in and out of my polling place in under 10 minutes. The polling place for on campus students was packed, I mean hundreds of people waiting for hours. I had no idea we had that many minority students at my school. I'm just glad my lunch in the cafeteria won't be interrupted anymore by Obama folk.

I think they were trying to suppress my vote! I got all done filling out the ballet and then they pulled this thing on me saying my numbers "don't match!" It's like poll tax or something!!

Help!! I'm being repressed!!

No line at 7:00 pm, funny how we vote when we know that every mark we make on a ballot will go the other way. Ah, civic duty I suppose.

I feel your pain 'saw'. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. At least I got it out of my system with my "contrarian" vote.

But I fear the nuts are now in complete control of the asylum.
