The Left's 'Milk Was a Bad Choice' Week

The Left had a bad week. Not as bad a week as Ron Burgandy had when he famously uttered "milk was a bad choice," but it was pretty bad. How bad? Michael Barone details in an excellent column in the Wall Street Journal.

Michael Barone is right on the money, with his comments concerning the Democrats/left and their view of the world being stuck in the early 1970's. Since George McGovern and the appeasement left/socialists took over the party their view on National Security has remained constant, that being negotiate, appeasement,UN resolutions, and then if that fails, they will downplay any threat.
The hard left that dominates the party refuses to suggest any policy that would require a sacrifice or making a difficult decision. The radical left that came to congress in 1974 promptly cut off aid the South Vietnamese government, then remained silent when their communist hero's slaughtered over 1 million people. The appeasement left not only has been unwilling to make an accounting of themselves for the damage they did to national security during the 1960's,70's,and 80's,but now they want to do the same damage today, while the USA is facing a more dangerous threat.
It is amazing to me, that a group of individuals who have lived so long yet have learned so little.

Who alerts you to a page like that, Dan? That is such a disconnected, random act to create that page. It is pretty funny though.

Google Images alerts me, Webster. Or, more accurately, I alert them what I want and they generally give it to me. If you type in pretty much any catch phrase or person, you're going to get a satisfactory image to go with it. "Milk was a bad choice" is a phrase in pop-culture lore that stands alongside "I figured I better join before I got drafted" and "I want a hamburger, no, a cheeseburger. I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake."

Or, "Hey, wanna buy a monkey?"

The page is a YTMND (You're the Man Now Dogg) and is far from unique. They are a bona fide internet phenomenon. www.ytmnd.com
