Iraq, Economy Improve; Bush's Approval Ratings Sink

Insurgents kill fewer Americans in Iraq. The economy grows at a healthy 3.8 percent clip in the final quarter of 2004. Bush's approval ratings drop to the low- to mid-forties. Go figure.

Even better his Social Security plan will tank as well... he cannot bamboozle his way out of this one.

Insurgents killing fewer Americans... that maybe so yet one must remember that Americans don't view the military engagement in Iraq with satisfaction while on the economy despite its growth... Consumer confidence was down in the last quarter. Lets not forget his intervention into the Schiavo case... Americans agreed that government should stay out of it and not overstep the bounds of the U.S. constitution. It is historically proven that most second terms are usually sluggish and mediocre at best. This president is just getting started in facing the difficulties a second term will pose.

That settles it: it's (still) all G.W.'s fault.

It's still chilly up here and I know that bastige Bush has something to do with it.

What more do you expect from the botched, bungled, stupid, materialistic, sex-obsessed general public?

Hmmmm. Rapidly growing economy, democracy rapidly taking root in the mideast...

Yes, one might say it is all Bush's fault, and they would be right.
