Which Democrats Will Show Up in Boston?

If the Democrats who show up to this week's convention look like this, this, and this, John Kerry will lose. If the Democrats showcase more mainstream elements, the party will greatly increase their fortunes coming out of Boston. John Kerry's history as an anti-war protestor, as Michael Dukakis's lieutenant governor, and as Ted Kennedy's understudy is an albatross for the candidate in every constituency save the true believers. Having the convention in Massachusetts, hardly a bastion of mainstream political sentiment, serves to highlight Kerry's liberalism. He best be careful to avoid playing to the passions of the left-wing delegates inside the Fleet Center, and instead focus on winning the votes of, well, the more normal (and more numerous) people watching on television. Will the Democrats in Boston be the party of Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy, or will they be the party of Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore, and Cynthia McKinney? How they answer this question may determine the next president.

It’s all started on a grand scale with Kerry getting booed in his home state and, supposedly, home town when throwing out the first pitch at a Red Sox game.

Of course the pitch was thrown to a soldier in fatigues and in front of a giant American flag that covered the Monster.

Good one by the Senator’s wife. Where she postures for the delegation from Pennsylvania and tells them that they need to take the mean and negativity out of the rhetoric of the Convention. Then, she proceeds to come off the podium to tell a reporter to ‘shove it’.

Got to love these people.

It’s scary to think that the next leader of the Free World could possibly be John Kerry.

This guy seems to be the most insecure person imaginable. Every time you see him, he’s either holding his wife’s hand or hugging and kissing her or he has his mitts on John Edwards. He appears to be in constant need of the intimate company of others.

No wonder he doesn’t want the U.S. to go it alone and would prefer to be joined at the hip with the United Nations!

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Doesn't matter if the weirder elements show up, cause if they do they just end up in the "freedom cage." Two men enter, one man leaves!

And now you know why the convention is being held at the Fleet Center rather than the new Boston Convention & Expo Center. The BCEC makes protest far easier and a lot harder to ignore or push aside since its surrounded by a fairly open area. Gotta keep the oddballs outside off camera and out of trouble. That's priority one. Priority two is dealing with the oddballs inside.

Give your readers fair warning on those pictures of lefty Dems! I almost lost my lunch looking at the second pic of Michael Moore with his beloved Airhead America hostess.
