So now Brak is up there with the likes of Woodrow Wilson, former terrorists Yassar Arafat, Nelson Mandela and Menachem Begin, and socialists Gorbachev and Willy Brandt, even shares company with the ultimate empty suits -- Jimmy Carter and Al Gore.

Good for him.

Pretty good. Another NPP for another incompetent fraud. That's about right.

I'm hoping that left and right coalesce around the idea of auditing the fed and opening it to democratic (small d) control. It's perfectly clear that their monetary policy has been an abysmal failure unless you were part of the financial sector. I'm not sure if Barney Frank is up to the challenge, but if he was being held accountable by those on the right, who get their panties in a bunch over TANF and other assistance to the working poor instead of policies that actually matter and are bankrupting this country, a tremendous amount of healthy economic reform could take place.

Audit the fed.

Also, I wonder how many people on the Nobel committee had their lives threatened by Rahm Emmanuel.

I've rediscovered some old short stories that I hadn't thought about for a while. My favorites are:

"The Lottery" Shirley Jackson

"The Call of Cthulhu" H.P. Lovecraft

"House Of Bones" Robert Silverberg

"Rising With Surtsey" Brian Lumley

"Cathedral" Raymond Carver

"Sonny's Blues" James Baldwin

"The Tell-Tale Heart" Edgar Allen Poe

Anybody care to share theirs?
