Just as an unseasonably warm day does not prove global warming, an unseasonably cold day does not disprove it. That said, if you bought into the global warming models then a snowstorm in October would be out of the question for Massachusetts. That's an outlier in a normal year, but under the new model it's an impossibility, right? But, as the television broadcast of New England's varsity squad blowing out Tennessee's junior varsity squad attests, pre-Halloween snow fell in abundance from the sky (even if it didn't stick to the ground). Again, one day's weather doesn't validate or invalidate a theory. But it is worth noting that anecdotal evidence--heat waves, hurricanes, tsunamis--have been cited to great effect by the proponents of the theory of man-made global warming. One wonders if it will now prove their undoing.
I didn't see the game, but that score was ridiculous. It looked like a Week 1 college score. I can't remember ever seeing anything like it in the NFL.
On the other side of the league, New Orleans looked absolutely dominant against the Giants.
And in other news, the Cowboys didn't lose this weekend.
It was raining really hard and horizontal where I was and when I tuned into the game, I had to look twice to make sure I was looking at a burg not 20 miles from me and not Buffalo. Wild.
I'm happy to say that the hoax that is Global Warming has been falling apart for some time now due in no small part to events like what happened yesterday.
October 18th snow? Certainly not unprecedented I'm sure. Just proof once again that nobody on this planet can absolutely predict or have positive or negative (i.e. - NO) control over our Global environment.
There will always be those who maintain the hoax for purposes of fiscal and social control and those who think of the quest to stop Man Made Global Warming as a religion. But for the rest of those who pay the freight and don't want our lives and wallets controlled by funny 'science' the truth becomes more clear everyday.
What I'm shocked at is how the Titans went from 13-3 and the muscle of the AFC to an 0-6 team in one season. On a side note, for the most part I've been a Fisher fan but his whining during Spy-gate gives me a chuckle when I see how far they've fallen.
C'mon, its not "global warming" anymore, its "climate change". So if you can't go skiing or swimming, you can point the blame to Capitalism!
There will always be those who refute climate change for purposes of fiscal and social control and those who think of the quest to snuff the green movement and exacerbate Man Made Global Warming as a religion.
I suppose if you believe in unicorns and magic pixie dust, MMCC is an acceptable premise.
Should it wake anybody from their environmental slumbers that two of the biggest emerging economic powers on the planet continue to solidly reject "Global Warming" accords? Hmmmm.
China and India know that instituting GW restrictions on their growing economies will throw a wrench in the gears of production and success.
But here in the West, we're we gotten fat, comfortable and powerful on not worrying about how our industry (used to) impact the planet but are now ready to further slow our economy by restricting ourselves for some politically motivated non-scientific theory.
The East laughs at us.
