Professor Wants Troops To 'Turn Their Guns on Their Superiors'

"Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors," Warren Community College professor John Daly emailed freshman Rebecca Beach. The hate-filled missive came in response to Beach's role in organizing an on-campus speaking event featuring Lt. Col. Scott Rutter, a veteran of both Iraq wars. Daly labeled Beach's promotional literature "fascist propaganda" and "extremely offensive," and promised to "boycott" her event. "I am also going to ask others to boycott it," Professor Daly added. The lecture takes place at the New Jersey college tonight, with or without the presence of Professor Daly, who issued a final threat to Miss Beach: "I will continue to expose your right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like your won't dare show their face on a college campus."

As my name suggests, I am back. Forgive my brief absence. Interviews, you understand.

Now that that unnecessary explanation is complete, I will give my thoughts on the subject:

Only a liberal would be so devoid of expressive ability as to describe something as “anti-people.”

How the war in Iraq has been conducted may have been fundamentally mismanagemed. The war may have even been a strategic error and may have been counter productive to American national security interests, however, to suggest that the US is the bad guy here is fundamentally misguided.

"I will continue to expose your right wing, anti people politics until groups like you won't dare show their face on a college campus." So this is how freedom of speech works for these people. Only people who hold leftists anti-American beliefs are allowed freedom of speech.

"Real freedom will come when soldiers in Iraq turn their guns on their superiors." If these people hate the American military so much, I suggest the military not waste time trying to defend them. Just leave them to the tender mercies of terrorists.

What do you expect from a Community College? I suspect that most higher level college professors probably feel the same way, but have the training and expertise to obfuscate their true feelings with flowery language and code. He's teaching at a community college because he lacks the skill to be a true subversive.

Hopefully, this plays out like the worst of Screwtape's fears: Where he admonishes the lower demon to never fully reveal himself to his "patient", lest the man be so frightened he turns himself over to God. Rather, Screwtape advises to put the man to sleep, make him comfortable and slowly erode his will to fight.

I wish all liberals were so frank (really, no pun intended).
