
Reality television personality David Hester has sued Storage Wars for wrongful termination alleging that the A&E program rigs auctions and plants curios in lockers. Will they next tell us that Santa Claus isn't real? Storage Wars is as real as Star Wars. But it's hardly the lone deceiver. These types of shows have never seemed to be true to their billing as 'reality shows' to me. Closer to performance art.
The contrivances of the premise seem consistent in a world where truth and honesty have left us.
How about unreality? Disconnected kids with little parental guidance growing into young adults alone in their rooms playing Black Ops and hooked on porn. No religious affiliations or spritually to speak of.
And then - Newtown Connecticut.
