None Dare Call It Socialism

This is socialism's worst year since the Berlin Wall fell. From Tunis to Damascus, people around the Mediterranean are partying like it is 1989. Chaos in Greece, an uprising in Syria, and revolutions in Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt have targeted socialist governments. Read my column @ Human Events on how we call the rulers of the basketcase and oppressive nations surrounding the Mediterranean all sorts of names, but none dare call them socialists.

So, if the "Occupy Wall St." people are the "American Spring", what does that mean for the present Admin?

We’re certainly not far off of the mark on this. The Marxist in Chief took the opportunity during his speech at the MLK Memorial dedication to show some solidarity with the protesters. It’s inconceivable that a sitting President of the United States could start this kind of thing not just here but around the world by spouting a constant flow of verbal class warfare. But for him it’s just another tool used by the community organizer.

Scary times. And even scarier if it turns violent.

Interesting numbers.....

In 2007 (first year of the Dem super-majority in Congress), deficit spending was $161 Billion. This fiscal year, 2011, deficit spending was $1.3 Trillion. Steady at almost 9% of GDP for the last three years.

And O and the Dems just want to keep the spending good times rolling.

Greece - here we come!
