Ted Kennedy's Last Will and Testament

Ted Kennedy helped engineer a change in Massachusetts law that stripped the governor of the power to fill senate vacancies. That was five years ago, when a Republican served as governor. Now that a Democrat is governor, Kennedy wants a redo--lest a Republican win election to the seat that he wishes to bequeath to one of his Kennedy heirs--just as it got left to him by his brother Jack. Read my piece @ the American Spectator, detailing how Kennedy's drive to empower Governor Deval Patrick to name his successor is just the lastest unprincipled about-face by the Bay State's senior senator.

The Massachusetts delegation to Congress is a laughingstock. And if the truth be told, it's electorate has only itself to blame. If the Commonwealth is to now have a Senate seat willed to a family member like some divine right, it is only because the people of Massachusetts, with their decades-long lack of imagination, have abdicated all responsibility for the proper maintenance of a functioning democracy.

He was pretty pathetic as far back as 1980, when he ran against Carter. I got to see him speak in Scranton that year and he was only marginally more impressive than Walter Mondale, although more eloquent than George Bush. Where does that put him? What is mystifying is why Republicans have coddled him.

Corruption is as corruption does. And that goes triple when American royalty want their way as usual.

Mass a laughing stock? You bet! And a head scratcher too. I was recently out of state and telling some folks about how 70 percent of Mass citizens voted no to killing the state income tax.Jaws dropped and there were many questions I could not answer.

I am curious to know if this dim-wit of a man,has the decency to apologize for the ten's of thousands of deaths,he enabled communists to commit?

This guy was the Marxist "go to guy" in the U.S government.
The man not only enabled killers,he was one himself, and ruined many lives with his insistence on peddling government dependency. IMO, the man is no different than your street corner drug dealer. They just sell a different type of dependency.

He was stated that Iraq was a quaqmire, I just wonder why he never mentioned the real quaqmire,he helped facillitate the real qauqmire of a war, the failed 46 year old failed, "War on Povery".

Ted Kennedy is a reprobate of the highest order and does not deserve the reverance that's been directed his way over the years.

Everywhere he's gone and everything he's done in his professional and personal life has been destructive. He started our demographic problems and added to our illegal alien issues with legislation in 65', has never met a socialist program or a way to nationalize healthcare he hasn't liked, colluded with communists against Reagan and as Dean Wormer would say - fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son - which applies in spades to the senior senator.

Typical of political elitists and rich scions, he can and does look down on the masses and the rules and laws that apply to other lesser mortals do not apply to him.

Even on his way out, he's causing turmoil.
