The feds indicted the Speaker of Massachusetts's not-so Great and General Court earlier this week on corruption charges. Following Speaker Felony Tax Evasion and Speaker Obstruction of Justice, Speaker Kickbacks is the third speaker in a row of Massachusetts's house of representatives indicted by the feds. Read my article @ the American Spectator demonstrating that Massachusetts's corruption problem has much to do with Massachusetts's competitive elections problem.
Massachusetts? Two options for the sane person: love it or leave it.
As much as the citizens here might complain, they act like beaten dogs when reacting to the ever more corrupt travails of the same people they vote back into office time and time again. Which might lead some to conclude that maybe they aren't so innocent in their complicity.
There are probably few places in this country more demonstrative than Massachusetts where it is truer that people get the government they deserve.
Good piece.
