Ask Not What a Kennedy Can Do For You

Ted Kennedy's face is on the cover of Newsweek, his words propel the HBO documentary "Teddy: In His Own Words," and his name is on the lips of every Democrat seeking to enact a state-run health care plan. The senior senator from Massachusetts is seemingly everywhere--everywhere but the United States Senate. Read my piece in the American Spectator explaining how absentee senator Ted Kennedy risks undermining his political legacy by treating his senate seat as a family legacy.

Couple of days ago was the 40th anniversary of TMK's ill fated bridge dive that ended up unfortunate for a bright young woman.

Barely a mention of it in the news.

And no chapter on that in Ted's new book "True Compass". I think this guy should be staying away from the nautical references.

Last time I checked he has a brain tumor, give the guy a little latitude. Lets give him a little more time before he steps down. If you served and were relected you wouldnt want to give up the post either. He's certainly not the first senator to do this.

And if he took a bribe or kited checks he wouldn't be the first senator to do that either. What does that mean?

I am sorry I was unclear Sea King. Wow what a cool handle, Is that like Starkist the Chicken of the Sea.
If your looking for a precedent with an ill senator please google Tim Johnson.
How is check kiting or a bribe have anything to do with having a brain tumor and keeping your office while you treat your illness?
Whatever helps you sleep at night brother, go crawl back under your rock.

American's are the most forgiving and tolerant people in history. For example: The Kennedys.
