The most dangerous delusion is the idea that man is perfectible. The goal is unattainable, but the crimes committed to achieve it are very real. The belief in heaven on earth led to the horrors of the gas chamber, the gulag, and the killing fields. Today, it leads to theocratic screwballs randomly beheading Westerners in hopes of creating Allah's earthly kingdom. If you really believe that the ideology you follow will bring utopia, I write today on TownHall, then all is justified in its advancement. That's scary.
Hey Dan, did you catch Oprah yesterday. Her show was about getting the young/woman to vote. Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diez, Chrisina Agulara, myself(PDiddy)and others were there. 7 out of the 7 celebs were obviously democrats trying to seem bi-partisan.
The funniest part was Cameron Diez saying that women should vote if they want to keep the rights to their own bodies. She clarifies to say that rape is a huge issue in this election and that if we are for or against rape we should vote! OK Cameron who is the pro-rape candidate? Then she starts crying.
Dan: please keep hammering on the ethical principles repeatedly trampled on by the self-annointed virtuous. Because our schools long ago stopped teaching the basics of ethics, Americans are too frequently muddled over issues of right and wrong, and too eager to be tolerant of outrageous means used to achieve "worth while" ends.
Read the editorial page in today's "Wall Street Journal" to learn what the Koran says about executing "infidels." It's A-OK, according to the "holy" book. What a sick, depraved "religion."
Hey, wait a minute. That's the religion of peace you're talking about!
Sir, you say you loathe intellectual dishonesty, but why do you attribute views to Ayn Rand which were not hers? Why smear a true American patriot by comparing her to those barbarian terrorists who attack the US? Anyone familar with the her fiction know you are dead wrong:
1.She did not intend a Holocoust as part of the end in Atlas Shrugged (she let her fictional productive heroes _escape from a Holocaoust_ in coming by a tyranny).
2. Her hero in We The Living, spoke the words you quote, and wrongly attribute to Ayn Rand personally, as an accusation against the loathsome mentality of the Communist tyranny that in the end also killed her. So you in fact take two quotes against tyranny in her fictionbooks and use them to show that she allegedly supported tyranny and evil? You should correct you mistakes and smearing of a true American defender of liberty, sir. That is, if you follow your own advice.
